Privacy Policy

Summary
This site does not collect personal information from visitors. There are no accounts, no newsletters, no comment systems, and no advertising trackers. The only data collected is anonymous, aggregate analytics through a privacy-friendly tool called Umami, and that data never leaves the analytics server.
Who I am
This site is operated by Kristofer Kraul, a private individual. You can reach me through my contact form at tally.so/r/q4pp58.
What data this site collects
Nothing personal. Specifically:
- No forms are hosted on this domain. Any form you fill out is provided by a third party (currently Tally.so) and is governed by their privacy policy.
- No accounts, profiles, or login functionality exist.
- No email addresses are stored or used for marketing.
- No advertising networks, retargeting pixels, or cross-site tracking scripts are loaded.
Analytics (Umami)
I use Umami to understand which pages on this site get read. Umami is a cookie-less analytics tool that does not require a consent banner under GDPR or CCPA because it:
- Does not set cookies.
- Does not collect any personally identifiable information.
- Truncates IP addresses before storage.
- Does not share data with third parties.
- Does not track visitors across other websites.
The data collected is limited to: which page was visited, the type of browser and operating system, the referring site (if any), the country of origin (derived from IP, not stored in full), and the timestamp. This data is aggregate and held indefinitely until I decide to purge it.
Cookies
This site does not set cookies. If you click a link that takes you to a third-party site (such as Tally.so, GitHub, or LinkedIn), that site may set cookies under its own policies. Read their policies if that matters to you.
Third-party services
This site links to, but does not embed, the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Tally.so. Contact form, used when you choose to get in touch.
- GitHub. Code repositories and profile link.
- LinkedIn. Professional profile link.
The downloadable resume and CV PDFs hosted in/public are static files served directly from this site.
Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, California, or another jurisdiction with data-protection rights, you already have the strongest possible protection on this site by design: there is nothing personal to access, export, correct, or delete.
If you want to exercise a right anyway, or if you have a privacy question, reach out through the contact form linked above.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 16, and I do not know whether any given visitor is under 16. Because no personal data is collected, this is not a meaningful concern, but the policy stands: if you are under 16 and have used this site, ask a parent or guardian to contact me and I will respond to whatever concern they raise.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change, and the new version will replace the old one on this page. Material changes (anything that materially changes what data is collected) will be announced by a notice on the home page for at least 30 days.
